We like to call ourselves “Real Family Dentists” because we are both dentists...we met when we were studying and qualified as dentists together. We married and have been a husband and wife team ever since.

Most people, including us, absolutely hate being pressured into a decision and that’s why we never work like that. We simply see our job as showing you the best dental care available and then we leave it to you to make a decision when you are ready.

We give you options.

We’re always happy to discuss your options and give you the

pros and cons of each as well as costs so that you can make an informed decision. But, that doesn’t mean we won’t advise you. If you want guidance we are happy to tell you which option we consider to be the best and why.

The first step is for us to ask you about your concerns, goals and expectations.  So many times, we find that patients have just not been listened to and their expectations have not been met as a result.  You will not find that with Dr's McDonald & Melkers-they each see one patient at a time and their focus will be 100% on you!

Based on your goals and desires, we will thoroughly check your teeth which includes an oral cancer screening, gum examination, photographs of your teeth and a full set of  x-rays. Once that is done, we can sit down and tell you the full story about your teeth, give you crystal-clear advice, and discuss your options and what’s involved with each. Then we can give you an exact costing for any treatment you need so that you can decide what you’d like to do. 

Naturally, we’d like you to decide to use us and, if you like how we look after you, we hope you will come back and bring your family and friends.
